ALAF equips technicians with modern building tech

OVER 1000 roofing technicians from the Lake zone regions are set to benefit from modern roofing seminars and education that will be provided by ALAF Limited.

The Company’s Lake Zone Manager, Mr Adam Nelson said here yesterday during launching of the ‘Mtu Kwao’ campaign targeting to reach over 1,000 roofing technicians from all Lake Zone regions.

The regions are Kagera, Mwanza, Simiyu, Shinyanga, Mara and Geita.

“The campaign will be helpful to the roofing technicians in sharing experience in the housing industry development,” he said adding that they will also acquire skills in modern construction technologies and building materials.

He noted that the campaign will help in motivating Tanzanians to buy various construction products from the local manufacturing companies.

Mr Nelson said that through the training the technicians will be able to construct modern and durable buildings.

He said they targeted to train technicians from the lake Zone due to the ongoing strategic development projects like the construction of new airports, the city centre market and the Nyegezi bus stand.

The CEO expounded that the company is involved in the production of construction materials like iron sheets, galvanized steel and steel pipe products.
