Simba have been paired against Al Ahly of Egypt in the first quartefinal match of Africa Football League (AFL).
This is according to a draw conducted at CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Saturday evening.
In other fixtures of the tournament, TP Mazembe of DR Congo will interface Esperance of Tunisia in the second quarterfinal match while in the third quartefinal fixture, Enyimba of Nigeria play Wydad Casablanca of Morocco.
The fourth last eight match will see Petro Atletico of Angola battling against Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
The newly established eight-team competition is happening for the first time on the continent and will be launched on October 20th in Dar es Salaam.
This is another privilege for Tanzania to be on the spotlight for becoming the first country to stage the opening match of the palatable contest.
The 60,000-capacity Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city is currently undergoing rehabilitation ahead of the commencement of the tourney.
