Actress Grace Mapunda ‘Tessa,’ passes away

DAR ES SALAAM: FAMOUS Huba serial drama actress Grace Mapunda, also known as Tessa, has passed away.

Grace died early Saturday at Mwananyamala Referral Hospital in Dar es Salaam, where she was receiving treatment.

Huba director Aziz Ahmed confirmed her passing, saying that Grace was admitted to the hospital on October 31, 2024, due to breathing complications.

The director added that burial arrangements are underway in Sinza, Dar es Salaam, where the actress resided, and promised to provide more details later.

Grace was a former member of the Kaole Group and participated in several series, including Fukuto, Maisha, and Radi.

She also acted in the movie Fake Smile, as well as in Wrong Richness and Laana na Nasaha.
