A new dawn for Tanzanian entrepreneurs as Business Group’s summit underway

DAR ES SALAAM: A wave of transformation is set to sweep across women’s leadership and economic empowerment as Accelerate Business Group gears up for its 3rd Annual Accelerate Women’s Executive Summit 2025, slated for March 15 this year in Dar es Salaam.

Under the bold theme “Unstoppable Woman”, the summit promises to be more than just a gathering but a movement redefining how women navigate leadership, break barriers, and claim their place in the business world.

The summit, which will bring together executives, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from across Africa and beyond, aims to promote women’s leadership, economic inclusion, and innovative solutions to the challenges women face in business and leadership roles.

Speaking at a press conference in Dar es Salaam, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Accelerate Business Group, Bernice Fernandes, said this year’s theme reflects the resilience of women who continue to rise despite societal and economic barriers.

“In the first edition, we broke barriers. The second year, we ignited the fire. Now, we are saying that despite the challenges, women are still moving forward. An Unstoppable Woman pushes through obstacles while collaborating with men through the He for She initiative,” she said.

Among the key highlights of the summit is the Accelerate Deal Room, a platform where 10 women entrepreneurs will pitch their business ideas to investors for a chance to win grant funding to support their businesses.

“The Deal Room is a game-changer. It will give women access to finance and equip them with the knowledge and confidence to scale their businesses,” Fernandes added.

“We are excited to be part of this summit and will be available to offer guidance and support to women entrepreneurs looking to scale their businesses,” she said.

The summit will also include mentorship sessions, a leadership workshop led by Chinwe Esimai, and a session on women and Money, which will explore financial literacy, investment opportunities, and access to finance for women-led businesses.

The gathering will not only spotlight influential women leaders but also feature young changemakers like Charlene Ruto from Kenya, along with entertainment from renowned Kenyan comedian Obayi Patrick.

With women across the continent pushing for greater representation in leadership and business, the Accelerate Women’s Executive Summit is expected to create lasting impact by building networks, providing resources, and shaping the next generation of unstoppable women leaders.
