Tanzania, Japan agree to enhance cooperation in transport, infrastructure    

OSAKA: JAPAN: TANZANIA and Japan have agreed to strengthen their cooperation in the transport and infrastructure sectors.

The decision was made today, May 28, 2025, in a discussion between Tanzania’s Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa and Japan’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Hiromasa Nakano, in Tokyo, Japan.

Additionally, the two leaders plan to cooperate in other areas of land and infrastructure.

Moreover, Mr Majaliwa also held talks with the President of the Japan Infrastructure Development Association (JAIDA), Miyamoto Yoichi, and his delegation, where they looked at different opportunities available in the sector.

The Premier has been in Japan since May 25 where he attended and opened the Business, Investment and Tourism Forum that brought together businessmen from Tanzania and Japan.

The forum was part of Tanzania’s World Expo Osaka 2025 participation.
