ZEEA receives tablets for digital loan registration
ZANZIBAR: AIRPAY has handed over tablets to the Zanzibar Economic Empowerment Agency (ZEEA) to facilitate the digital registration and application of loans.
In collaboration with financial institutions, Airpay and ZEEA have developed a system aimed at simplifying access to digital loans for Zanzibar’s entrepreneurs.
The tablets will enhance the efficiency of this process. Airpay’s Founder and Director, Mr Kunal Jhunjhunwala, presented the tablets to ZEEA’s Executive Director Juma Burhan.
Along with his team, including representatives from the Zanzibar e-Government Agency (eGAZ), Mr Burhan recently undertook a three-day visit to India to observe how Airpay’s digital systems operate.

“We believe these tablets will make it easier to reach more people. We encourage all eligible entrepreneurs to apply for digital loans,” Chali stated.
He expressed gratitude to Airpay for the donation, assuring that the tablets will be distributed to municipal councils and local government offices across Unguja and Pemba.
He highlighted that digital loans are a game-changer for entrepreneurs and urged them to seize the opportunity to improve their financial stability.
“We appreciate Airpay’s support. We will continue working closely together and providing the necessary cooperation,” Burhan said.
