Mchengerwa’s father dies while performing Umrah in Makkah
DAR ES SALAAM: ALHAJ Omary Mchengerwa, the biological father of the Minister of State in the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government, Mohamed Mchengerwa, passed away early this morning, Monday, February 24, 2025, while performing Umrah in Makkah.
According to the family’s statement, Alhaj Mchengerwa will be laid to rest Makkah today, Monday, at 10:00 PM, a prayer session will be held at the residence of Minister Mohamed Mchengerwa in Masaki, Dar es Salaam.

Additionally, tomorrow, Tuesday, a prayer session will take place in the Rufiji constituency, Coast Region, and on Wednesday, a prayer session will be held at the late Alhaj Omary Mchengerwa’s home in Yombo, Dar es Salaam.
