Dar to host international energy exhibitions

DAR ES SALAAM – OVER 100 energy companies from different countries will take part in the international exhibition to be held in Dar es Salaam from Wednesday to Friday next week.

The exhibition comes just a few days after conclusion of the Africa Energy Summit in the city. Dubbed ‘Power & Elec Tanzania International Exhibition’, has been organised by the Exhibitions and Trade Services India Pvt Ltd (ETSIPL) in partnership with Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA).

Speaking about the forthcoming event, Executive Secretary of the Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA), Dr Matthew Matimbwi, said the participating companies will come from Tanzania, India, South Africa, Oman, Austria, Zambia and Kenya.

“TAREA and ETSIPL have partnered up to promote the Power & Elec Industry and capture the untapped potential of the sector in Tanzania,” Dr Matimbwi said during a press conference held in Dar es Salaam on Thursday.

“The main aim is to make sure that Tanzanians access quality energy services as one of items in the compact of the just ended Africa Energy Summit, learning that the Tanzanian market is flooded with substandard energy products,” he explained.

Mr Vijayanka Brighuvanshi, Director of the ETSIPL noted that a wide range of products will be on display during the exhibition.

“We have received great support from the industry and associations with our supporting partners being the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (TCCIA), TaTEDO – SESO, Tanzania Energy Association (TEA), National Commercial Directory (NCD), Crayon Media Agency and the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE),” Mr Brighuvanshi stated.

Mr Steven Ngalya, TCCIA’s Public Relations Officer, called upon Tanzanian businesspeople to take advantage of the forthcoming exhibition.
