Tanzania’s meteorological body forecasts five days of severe weather impacts

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA’s Meteorological Authority (TMA) has issued a five-day severe impact-based forecast as several areas expect receive heavy rains.

Those areas are Kagera, Mara, Mwanza, Geita, Shinyanga, Simiyu, Kigoma, Katavi, Tanga, Pwani (Including Mafia Isles) and Dar es Salaam regions together with Unguja and Pemba Isles.

The forecast, issued on Saturday, stated that the likelihood of the predications is HIGH while the IMPACT is medium.

TMA expects that the mentioned regions will experience: “Flooding over some areas and disruption of some economic activities.”
