Tabora women urged to repay council loans on time

TABORA: WOMEN entrepreneurs in Tabora Region have been urged to repay loans provided by local government authorities on time to enable other women to benefit from the economic empowerment initiative.

The call was made by Tabora District Commissioner Upendo Wella during the launch of the Wanawake Laki Moja (100,000 Women) Conference, held yesterday in Tabora Region.

Ms Wella urged women to use the loans to increase their capital and strengthen their economic activities.

She also encouraged women to enrol in Universal Health Coverage (UHC) to reduce medical expenses and protect family income against health-related challenges.

Ms Wella commended the institution for bringing women together and providing them with financial education and access to loan opportunities through various partners and institutions.
