TFF appoints new secretary general in leadership reshuffle

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has appointed Evans Mgeusa as its new Secretary General as part of a wider restructuring of the federation’s leadership and directorates.

The changes were announced yesterday following a meeting of the TFF Executive Committee in Dar es Salaam, chaired by federation president Wallace Karia. The appointments were also published on the federation’s official social media platforms, including Instagram.

Mgeusa takes over as Secretary General from Oscar Mirambo, who had been serving in an acting capacity. Before his appointment, Mgeusa was chairman of the Njombe Regional Football Association (NJOREFA).

According to the federation’s announcement, Mirambo has been appointed Deputy Secretary General and Director of Football Development.

Mustapha Yusuph has been appointed the new Director of Finance.

The federation has also restructured its directorates, splitting the Directorate of Legal, Information and Marketing Affairs into three separate directorates.

Hassan Njama has been appointed Director of Business and Marketing, while Boniface Wambura will head the Directorate of Legal Affairs. Clifford Ndimbo has been appointed Director of Information and Communications.

In its announcement, TFF said the changes were part of the federation’s organisational adjustments.

“Mgeusa has been appointed the new Secretary General of TFF,” the federation said in its announcement.

The statement added, “Oscar Mirambo has been appointed Deputy Secretary General and Director of Football Development.”
