Yanga mourn death of supporter Mzee Mpili

PWANI: YOUNG Africans have paid tribute to their supporter Haji Ramadhani alias Mzee Mpili, who died on Sunday night while receiving medical treatment at Ikwiriri District Health Centre in Pwani Region.

The club expressed its condolences to Mpili’s family, relatives, friends and members of the football community following his death.

“Young Africans are saddened to announce the death of their member, Haji Omari Ramadhani Mpili,” the club said in a statement.

The club added: “We extend our condolences to the family, relatives, friends and all football stakeholders and ask them to remain patient during this difficult period.”

Mpili was laid to rest yesterday at Msikiti Mkuu Cemetery in Ikwiriri, Coastal Region.
