Nigeria’s gospel singer in Dar to enlighten the Rising Fest concert

DAR ES SALAAM: NIGERIAN gospel musician, Moses Bliss, has praised Tanzanians’ warm welcome to him as he stepped foot in the country for the first time describing that it has made him feel at home.

Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, the musician said he was pleased to be part of The Rising Fest, describing the event as more than a music and entertainment gathering.

“I feel at home in Tanzania,” Moses said, expressing his appreciation for the reception he has received since arriving in the country.

The iconic Nigerian gospel singer landed in the country on Thursday afternoon and was welcomed by Bella Kombo and other Tanzanian gospel ministers who showered him with flowers and warmth where he is expected to minister at The Rising Fest scheduled to take place on August 15, 2026, (Saturday) at Lugalo Golf Club grounds in Dar es Salaam.

The festival is expected to bring together worshippers and other stakeholders for a day featuring worship, music and creative activities.

One of the event organisers, Carolyn Claire, said The Rising Fest was established as a platform for bringing people together through faith.

She said the festival also seeks to demonstrate how the Gospel can positively influence families, talents, businesses and community development.
