Tanzania gears up for Private Schools Expo

DAR ES SALAAM: Around 40 private schools are set to participate in the Tanzania Private Schools Expo, a premier education exhibition scheduled from October 9 to 11 at Nyerere Square in Dodoma.
Organised by Metromax Tanzania Limited, the expo which attracts both primary and secondary private schools provides a conducive platform for parents and guardians to make wise school selection for their children in a relaxed environment.
It brings together leading private schools, parents, students, education stakeholders and partners under one roof to showcase what they have at their respective schools.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam recently, Metromax Tanzania Limited Director Mr John Kapela highlighted that with the blossoming of private schools in the country, the three day event is the best opportunity to know them in details.
“We have many private schools in the country with others still being established hence this expo provides a good moment for people mainly parents to understand them better before making perfect decisions for their children,” he said.
He added that aside of showcasing school qualities and services, other minor activities will also be taking place such as children games as well as music.

Reacting on what immediate impacts they expect from the expo, he said parents and guardians will know the schools they can afford to pay tuition fees and the available offered services.
“As you know, we have private schools with quality education, incredible infrastructures plus reasonable school fees but most of them are invinsible hence this expo is destined to expose such schools,” Mr Kapela said.
On why they have picked Dodoma to host the event, he said its geographical location makes it easy for many people drawn from different parts of the country to attend.
In terms of why parents and guardians should attend, he said they will compare schools in one place without travelling across the country, receive trusted information by directly speaking with school representatives and get accurate details about admissions, fees, curricular plus learning environment.
“They will also be able to discover scholarships and other available opportunities as well as making informed decisions through choosing the best fit for the bright future of their children,” he said.
For participating schools, they will get a chance to reach out to their future families as thousands of people actively search for best schools, increase enrollment opportunities and showcasing their excellence, build valuable networks including getting national exposure.
