Jubilee boosts school safety through CSR project

DAR ES SALAAM: JUBILEE Group Tanzania has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to improve social service delivery through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, with education, health and community wellbeing among key areas of focus.

The company made the commitment today during the official launch of a perimeter wall constructed around Madenge Primary School in Temeke District, Dar es Salaam, a project aimed at improving safety and creating a conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers.

Jubilee Health Insurance Chief Executive Officer, Dr Harold Adamson, said the project was implemented to strengthen security at the school and address challenges caused by interference from passers-by, which affected teaching and learning activities.

“We believe this wall will contribute to creating a safer and calmer learning environment, giving teachers better conditions to deliver lessons and providing students with an environment that supports academic excellence,” Dr Adamson said.

He said the initiative reflected Jubilee Group Tanzania’s commitment to working with communities and supporting national efforts to improve access to quality social services.

Jubilee Life Insurance Chief Executive Officer, Ms Helena Mzena, commended Madenge Primary School leadership for their cooperation and support during the implementation of the project, saying the initiative would not have been possible without collaboration between the company and the school community.

She said Jubilee Group would continue partnering with communities and institutions to implement projects that create positive social impact.

“We appreciate the support and cooperation from Madenge Primary School, which made it possible for us to complete this project. Working together enables us to address challenges facing communities and create lasting solutions,” Ms Mzena said.

The school management expressed appreciation to Jubilee Group Tanzania for the investment, saying the perimeter wall would significantly improve security and provide a better environment for both teachers and pupils.

The project is part of Jubilee Group Tanzania’s CSR programme, which focuses on supporting initiatives in education, health and social welfare as part of the company’s contribution to community development.
