President Museveni welcomes Maj Gen Gaguti, Tanzania’s envoy to Uganda

KAMPALA: TANZANIAN High Commissioner to Uganda, Major General Marco Elisha Gaguti, has officially presented his credentials from Tanzania’s President, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, to Uganda’s President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The presentation marks the official beginning of Ambassador Gaguti’s duties as Tanzania’s representative in Uganda, at a time when the two neighbouring countries continue to strengthen their diplomatic ties and socio-economic cooperation.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Gaguti conveyed greetings from President Samia to President Museveni and reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening the historic and fraternal relations between the two nations.

He said Tanzania will continue working closely with Uganda in various areas to promote the interests of citizens from both countries and further enhance bilateral cooperation.
Relations between Tanzania and Uganda are built on a long-standing foundation of cooperation, covering areas such as trade, transport, regional security and other sectors of mutual interest.
