Asha Dachi takes over as TBC Director General

DAR ES SALAAM: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Asha Dachi Mbaruk as the new Director General of the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC), according to an official statement issued by the Directorate of Presidential Communications on Tuesday.

The appointment was announced following information released by Chief Secretary Ambassador Dr Moses Kusiluka.

Before her new role, Mbaruk served as the Managing Director of the Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited (TSN), the state-owned newspaper company.

She succeeds Dr Ayub Rioba , whose term as Director General of TBC has come to an end.
