YAS empowers I8 entrepreneurs through Biashara Expo Season 2

DAR ES SALAAM: TELECOMMUNICATIONS company YAS has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering small entrepreneurs through its “Anzia Ulipo Biashara Expo Season 2” campaign at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba), where 18 entrepreneurs from different parts of Tanzania have been given an opportunity to showcase their products and services.
Speaking at the exhibition, a YAS representative said the campaign was first launched last year with Season One and has continued this year to provide market access, visibility, and business growth opportunities for entrepreneurs who started their businesses with limited capital.
The representative said the participants come from various regions across the country, including Dar es Salaam, and operate in diverse sectors such as technology, beauty, hairdressing, food, and other small businesses.
“We invite all Tanzanians to visit the YAS pavilion and the Anzia Ulipo Biashara Expo Season 2 area to explore the wide range of products and services offered by these entrepreneurs and support them by purchasing their products,” the representative said.

The company also revealed that it has invested more than TSh 1 trillion in expanding Tanzania’s telecommunications infrastructure. According to YAS, the company now operates more than 4,800 network towers, providing high-speed internet services through 4G and 5G technology across many parts of the country.
The investment aims to help businesses embrace the digital economy by enabling entrepreneurs to use social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp to promote their products and reach customers both locally and internationally around the clock.
The representative added that the company’s slogan, “Mtandao wa Viwango” (“The Network of Standards”), reflects its commitment to providing high-quality communication services that support business growth and Tanzania’s digital economy.

YAS has fully sponsored the entrepreneurs’ participation by providing exhibition space and promotional opportunities. The company expressed confidence that the exposure gained during the trade fair will help the participants attract more customers, expand their businesses, and make greater use of digital technologies.
The company has also encouraged Tanzanians to visit the YAS pavilion at the Sabasaba International Trade Fair to learn more about its digital services while supporting entrepreneurs participating in the Anzia Ulipo Biashara Expo Season 2 campaign.
