Natural Resources Ministry contributes 27.9bn/- in dividend to Tanzania’s fund
DAR ES SALAAM: THE Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, through the Tanzania Forest Services Agency (TFS), has contributed 27.9bn/- to the Government Consolidated Fund for this year, an increase from 26.1bn/- contributed last year.
The dividend was presented today, June 30, 2026, at a ceremony held at State House, Dar es Salaam, where President Samia Suluhu Hassan was the guest of honor and received dividends from various public institutions.
The increase reflects the continued improvement in TFS’s performance in the management and sustainable use of forest resources.
In addition, it demonstrates the agency’s contribution in increasing government revenue, strengthening the national economy, and supporting the implementation of development activities for the benefit of Tanzanians.
At the event, TFS was also named among the leading public institutions for contributing dividends on time, sustainably and at an appropriate level based on statistics from the past seven years.
On average, TFS has been contributing 23.5bn/- annually to the Government Consolidated Fund.

These achievements continue to confirm TFS’s position as among the public institutions that contribute significantly to the government revenue through good management of forest resources, sustainable use of forest resources, as well as the effective implementation of its responsibilities.
The dividend receiving event was attended by various Government leaders.
On the part of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, those who participated were the Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Ashatu Kijaji, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Hassan Abbas, as well as other government leaders and public institutions.
