Kwimba District records speedy implementation of major infrastructure projects

MWANZA: THE Kwimba District Political Committee in Mwanza region has been satisfied with the speed of implementation of various development projects being implemented in the District Council after conducting an inspection tour of different areas in the district.
During the visit, the committee inspected a total of four development projects and determined that their implementation is progressing at satisfactory levels.
Speaking after the inspection today, June 25, 2026, the Chairman of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Kwimba District, Mr Sabana Salinja said he was satisfied with the progress of the projects and urged his managers to continue to collaborate closely with contractors to ensure their completion on time.
“I am satisfied with the speed of implementation of these important projects. What I advise them to do is to continue to collaborate and be close to contractors so that the projects are completed on time and any challenges that arise are resolved early,” Mr Salinja said.
Mr Salinja commended Kwimba District Commissioner Mr Ng’wilabuzu Ludigija for his cooperation with the citizens, saying he has seen firsthand how he participates in listening to and resolving citizens’ concerns in various areas of the district.
He said the move has contributed to increasing citizens’ trust in the government and accelerating the implementation of development projects aimed at improving social services and enhancing the welfare of Kwimba citizens.
For his part, the Kwimba District Commissioner, Mr Ng’wilabuzu Ludigija said he continues to closely monitor the implementation of the projects in collaboration with managers and technicians to ensure they are completed on time.
Kwimba District Council, chairman Lameck Hole urged project managers to contact the Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) early to ensure water service is available in all project areas, especially the Mwakilyambiti Health Center.

The projects inspected include the construction of a single-storey house for the Kwimba District Commissioner worth 511m/- which has reached 70 percent of implementation. They also inspected the 0.6 km EAGT-Mfikwa road project worth 543m/- which has reached 65 percent completion.
Other projects include the Mwankuba-Manawa water project worth 563m/- which is at 52 percent completion, as well as the Mwakilyambiti Health Centre costing 250m/- which has been completed and is awaiting minor modifications before it can begin providing full services.
