Dar-based Frontier Energy tables bid to invest in Tanzania’s avocado and tea industries

DODOMA: FRONTIER Energy has announced plans to invest in Tanzania’s avocado and tea industries, targeting value addition, modern farming technologies and expanded access to international markets.

This was reached in a discussion between the Minister for Agriculture Daniel Chongolo and a Frontier Energy delegation led by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Lars Tushuizen, in Dodoma.

The planned investment is expected to strengthen production, enhance processing and boost the competitiveness of Tanzanian avocados and tea in both domestic and export markets, creating new opportunities for farmers and supporting growth in the agriculture sector.

According to Tushuizen, Frontier intends to develop the value chains of the two crops through the application of modern technologies, noting that Tanzania’s favourable investment climate and strong production potential make it an attractive destination for agricultural investment.
