Dr Samia elevates Tanzania’s status on the global economic stage at SPIEF 2026

ST PETERSBURG: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has strengthened Tanzania’s profile on the global economic stage after participating in the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026) in Russia.
The high-level forum brought together more than 24,000 participants from over 140 countries, including heads of state, investors and executives from some of the world’s leading companies.
Through her participation, Dr Samia showcased Tanzania’s investment opportunities in key sectors, including mining, energy, tourism, agriculture and transport, as part of efforts to attract foreign capital and strategic partnerships.

The President’s engagement at the forum provided Tanzania with a platform to promote its economic potential and highlight ongoing reforms aimed at improving the investment climate.
