The joint agreement for hosting AFCON 2027 signed

NAIROBI: THE host nations of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2027) have signed a joint agreement known as the CAF Joint Resolution – TotalEnergies AFCON PAMOJA 2027 on May 11, 2026.

The countries — Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda — signed the agreement to strengthen coordination and cooperation in preparations for the continent’s major football tournament.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe.

Tanzania was represented by the Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Paul Makonda, alongside officials from the Tanzania Football Federation led by President Wallace Karia.
