WTTC sees Tanzanian efforts to develop tourism in technology and investment sectors

ALEXANDRIA: THE Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Hassan Abbasi, today led a Tanzanian delegation to participate in the International Conference bringing together World Tourism Stakeholders under the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) which is being held aboard the Crystal Serenity ship sailing from the port of Sokhna to Alexandria in Egypt.

Through the conference, Dr Abbasi met and held talks with the President and Chief Executive of the Council, Gloria Guevara, Former Minister of Tourism of Mexico, with its Vice Chairman, Najib Balala, Former Minister of Tourism of Kenya, where they discussed various issues and how the Council can help develop the country’s Tourism Sector in the areas of training, technology and investment.

The meeting was also attended by the Tanzanian Ambassador to Egypt, Major General Richard M. Makanzo.
