Shinyanga braces for the 2026 Lake Zone Livestock Expo

SHINYANGA: THE 2026 Lake Zone Livestock Expo is set to bring together livestock keepers, farmers, and key stakeholders in the livestock value chain from across Tanzania’s Lake Zone regions.

The event will attract participants from Shinyanga, Mara, Simiyu, Mwanza, Geita, Tabora, and Kagera, creating a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing innovations in the livestock sector.

The expo will take place in Usanda Ward, Shinyanga Region, from May 30th to May 31st, 2026.

Organizers say the expo aims to strengthen collaboration among industry players while promoting growth and development in livestock production and agribusiness within the region.

Their exhibition will be free for all visitors and it will be accompanied with traditional dances, grilled meat (nyama choma), bicycle races, Sukuma traditional food, an animal parade, livestock seminars, and a livestock auction.
