TSN intensifies efforts to promote Tanzania’s tourism attractions

DODOMA: THE Tanzania Standard Newspapers (TSN) Limited has intensified efforts to promote the tourism sector through specialised feature writing, aligning with President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s vision of positioning Tanzania as a top destination.

Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Paul Makonda, disclosed this today, May 4, 2026, in the parliament in Dodoma when presenting the ministry’s 2026/27 budget estimates.

Elaborating, the minister said that a total of 172 feature articles have been produced during the review period, highlighting the country’s diverse tourist attractions and showcasing the sector’s contribution to economic growth.

“The articles also focus on employment and investment opportunities within the tourism industry, underlining its role in boosting national income and improving livelihoods,” he said.

Furthermore, the minister said that according to the company’s strategic plan, the content is designed to market Tanzania internationally as a prime tourism and investment destination, while raising public awareness of the sector’s importance to national development.

The move reflects TSN’s commitment to leveraging media platforms to support government initiatives aimed at attracting both domestic and international tourists and investors.
