TISEZA invites Belarusian investors to invest in Tanzania

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Director General of the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), Gilead Teri has met and held talks with the Belarus Foreign Affairs Minister, Maxim Ryzhenkov and invited the Belarus investors to come and invest in Tanzania.

During their meeting held at the the Benjamin Mkapa Special Economic Zone, the TISEZA boss showcased vast opportunities in the industrial sector aimed at boosting production and creating jobs.

Mr Teri urged Belarus investors to tap into Tanzania’s favourable investment climate, noting that the country has prioritised improving the business environment and simplifying procedures for both local and foreign investors, with ample industrial land readily available.

Mr Ryzhenkov, who toured the facility, expressed satisfaction with Tanzania’s investment environment and commended the government’s efforts to strengthen infrastructure and business systems. He affirmed Belarus’ readiness to deepen cooperation with Tanzania in industry, trade and investment.

During the visit, the minister also toured Tooku Jeans factory, observing production processes for export markets, accompanied by Tanzania’s Ambassador to Russia, Mr Fredrick Kibuta, and Belarus Ambassador to Tanzania, Mr Dzmitry Krasouski.
