CRDB Bank injects 2.3bn/- for prizes for its SimBanking customers

DAR ES SALAAM: CRDB Bank has set aside a total of 2.3bn/- for prizes to be awarded to its customers who will conduct transactions and make payments through its SimBanking service, as part of a special campaign aimed at promoting the use of digital financial services.
Speaking during the launch of the SimBanking Kimpango Wako campaign, the bank’s Acting Managing Director, Fredrick Nshekanabo, said the initiative is designed to motivate both customers and service agents to increase the use of digital platforms in their financial transactions.
He said that in the campaign, the grand prize winner in the final draw will walk away with 30m/-, while the second and third winners will receive 20m/- and 10m/- respectively.
“Besides cash prizes, other winners will receive various rewards, including international trips, wildlife safaris, shopping vouchers, as well as devices such as smartphones and laptops,” said Nshekanabo.

He added that the prizes will be awarded through draws to be conducted weekly, monthly, and quarterly, a move aimed at increasing winning opportunities for more participants.
On his part, the bank’s Director of Retail and Business Banking, Bonaventure Paul, said that various transactions, including bill payments, money transfers, and everyday usage of SimBanking services, will enable customers to actively participate and stand a chance to win in the campaign.
