Dr Samia donates Eid gifts to Kikombo Children’s Home

DODOMA: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has donated Eid gifts to children living at the National Kikombo Children’s Home, ensuring they celebrate the holy festival in joy, peace and love.
The gifts, handed over on March 20, 2026, on her behalf by Dodoma Regional Commissioner Rosemary Senyamule, included food items and other essentials aimed at supporting the children during the Eid celebrations.
Speaking during the handover, the RC noted that the President’s gesture reflects her commitment to sharing national celebrations with vulnerable groups and spreading compassion across communities.

She noted that the donation was specifically intended to make the children feel remembered and valued during Eid, a period marked by unity, generosity and care for others.
The event brought smiles to the children and caregivers at the facility, who expressed gratitude for the timely support.
The gesture comes in the spirit of similar acts of goodwill witnessed across the country during religious festivities, where earlier on Saturday, Zanzibar’s President Hussein Ali Mwinyi also took part in Eid-related outreach, emphasizing solidarity and support for those in need, particularly children and disadvantaged groups.
