DAR ES SALAAM: THE Accelerate Foundation will host the fourth edition of the Accelerate Women’s Executive Summit this Saturday, 14th March at Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam, in a one-day event that brings together executives, entrepreneurs and thought leaders to discuss women’s leadership and economic empowerment.

Speaking to Journalists ahead of the summit, the Director of Accelerate Women, Bernice Fernandes, said this year’s event will be held under the theme “Power and Purpose,” focusing on helping women recognise their potential and strengthen their leadership roles in business and society.

She said the summit aims to create a platform where women can learn from experienced leaders, build professional networks and gain practical knowledge to enhance their impact in their organisations and communities.

“The summit is designed to empower women in Tanzania by giving them access to knowledge, networks and inspiration from successful leaders who have made an impact in different sectors,” Ms Fernandes said.

She added that the programme will also introduce participants to emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), highlighting its growing role in shaping the future of business and leadership.

Selcom Head of Products, Farha Mohamed, said the company will participate in the summit to support women through services designed to enhance financial inclusion and economic participation.

Similarly, CRDB Bank Senior Product Manager Optune Kaihula said the bank will set up a booth during the event to provide financial literacy education and information about services tailored to support women in business.
