CRDB brightens Police Family Day celebrations

MBEYA: AHEAD of the upcoming Police Family Day celebrations in Mbeya Region, CRDB Bank, Mbeya branch, has donated sports equipment to the Mbeya Regional Police.

Speaking during the handover, CRDB Mbeya Manager, Harrison Andrew, said the bank is implementing its slogan, “ULIPO TUPO” (“Where you are, we are”), by collaborating with the community in various activities and events. He added, “We work with the Police in efforts to prevent and eliminate crime. Therefore, as the special Police Family Day approaches, we will be present to engage with the community.”

Meanwhile, Mbeya Regional Police Commander, Assistant Senior Commissioner of Police (SACP) Benjamin Kuzaga, expressed gratitude for the donation, which included footballs and athletics equipment. He also invited residents of Mbeya Region to join the Police in the celebrations, which will feature various sports, entertainment, and educational sessions on security and safety issues.

Police Family Day is celebrated annually. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026. The celebrations will include a review of police performance, awarding of outstanding officers, and collaboration with security stakeholders and the general public.
