Simba part ways with Pantev

DAR ES SALAAM: SIMBA have parted company with Manager Dimitar Pantev after agreeing to terminate his contract, ending the Bulgarian’s brief spell at the club.
The decision was announced via the club’s statement yesterday. Assistant Coach Selemani Matola will take over on an interim basis while the club searches for a permanent replacement.
Simba have struggled in Group D of the CAF Champions League, losing their opening match 1–0 at home to Petro Luanda at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, followed by a 2–1 away defeat to Stade Malien on Sunday.
Pantev was appointed on 3 October 2025 on a two-year deal and arrived with a strong record, having won league titles with Gaborone United in Botswana and Victoria United in Cameroon.
