Comoros turns to Tanzania for cancer care

DAR ES SALAAM: The President of the Comoros National Assembly, Moustadroine Abdou, who also serves as the country’s second-highest leader, has pledged to ensure that all Comorian cancer patients receive treatment at Tanzania’s Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI).

Mr Abdou made the announcement after touring the Institute earlier today, expressing admiration for its modern medical technology. He said there is no longer a need for Comorians to spend taxpayers’ money sending patients to Europe, as ORCI offers sufficient and high-quality services.

He also praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for equipping the Institute with advanced facilities and pledged Comoros’ commitment to working with Tanzania to advance the health sector.
