Outgoing VP officially hands over office to Dr. Nchimbi

DODOMA: THE Vice President of Tanzania, Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, has congratulated and thanked the retired Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango for the contribution he made while assisting President Samia Suluhu Hassan during the first period of the Sixth Term.

The Vice President said this during the handover of the Vice President’s Office, held at the Chamwino State House in Dodoma region.

He said a lot of work has been done during the first period of the Sixth Term, which provided convenience during the 2025 General Election campaign.

The Vice President said he will continue the role of assisting the President of the United Republic of Tanzania to the best of his ability to properly implement the Manifesto of the Revolutionary Party and bring development to the people.

He also urged Retired Vice President, Dr. Philip Mpango to continue to provide his contribution where needed, in the implementation of various policies of the Office of the Vice President including issues of the blue economy.

For his part, the Retired Vice President Hon. Dr. Philip Mpango has congratulated Vice President Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi for this important position and urged him to carry out his duties as the number one advisor to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.

He has also urged him to use wisdom and humility in the implementation of his duties to serve the people.
