TISEZA, TCB Bank partner to open investment, banking services for the diaspora

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA Investment and Special Economic Zone (TISEZA) has partnered with TCB Bank and the Tanzanian High Commissioner to Canada held talks with Tanzanian diaspora in a bid to boost investment and banking services, particularly investment accounts, loans, and digital services to facilitate easy financial transactions from abroad.
The deal came as part of the continued efforts to promote investment and strengthen collaboration with Tanzanians living abroad.

The forums aimed to educate members of the diaspora on various investment opportunities available in Tanzania, financial services offered by TCB Bank to investors, and partnerships in business and development projects being implemented in the country.
During the discussions, TISEZA Director General, Mr. Gilead Teri, emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that Tanzanians living abroad actively participate in the growth of the national economy through sustainable investments.

On his part, Tanzania’s Ambassador to Canada, H.E. Joseph Sokoine, expressed gratitude to TISEZA and TCB for their efforts and stressed the importance of continuing to engage the diaspora in investment as a means of economic empowerment and contributing to national development.
Ms. Lilian Mtali, Director of Business at TCB Bank, outlined the special services available for the diaspora, including investment accounts, loans, and digital services that facilitate easy financial transactions from abroad.
The forums received a strong response from Tanzanians living in Canada, who showed great enthusiasm in collaborating with Tanzanian institutions to boost economic growth. Leaders of the Tanzanian community in Canada expressed their appreciation for the informative sessions and affirmed their plans to take advantage of the available opportunities to invest back home.
This initiative is a practical step in implementing the Tanzanian government’s Vision 2050, which seeks to attract investment and strengthen economic ties with the global Tanzanian diaspora.
