Tanzania receives credentials from the Netherlands, Angola envoys

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, has received credentials from two nations at the Ministry’s Sub-office in Dar es Salaam.
According to information from the Ministry, the minister received credentials from the Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Marjo Johanna Jacoba Crompvoets, and congratulated and assured her of Tanzania’s full cooperation throughout her tenure.
The minister further commended the government of the Netherlands for its efforts in initiating various community-centered development projects, particularly in sectors such as infrastructure, education, health, livestock, trade and investment, and tourism.

Moreover, Minister Kombo also received credentials from the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Angola, Domingos de Almeida da Silva Coelho.
Speaking after receiving his credentials, Mr Kombo assured Angola’s envoy of the Ministry’s and Tanzania’s full cooperation throughout his tenure in the country.
Tanzania and Angola have enjoyed longstanding diplomatic and friendly relations since Angola’s independence in 1975 and have continued to collaborate in various areas, including trade and investment, oil and gas, health, defense, minerals, fisheries, maritime transport, tourism, railway infrastructure, and the Blue Economy.
The two envoys expressed gratitude to the government of Tanzania for its existing cooperation with their countries and pledged to further strengthen the partnership through priority areas.
