Dr Nchimbi pledges to end water woes in Ilala District

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Chama Cha Mapinduzi(CCM) presidential running mate, Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, has said that if the party is given the mandate to lead the country for the next five years, water woes in Ilala district and Segerea Constituency will be history.

Speaking during his campaigns in Segerea, Dar es Salaam the running mate revealed CCM’s plan of launching a major water production and distribution project in those areas as well as expanding the pipeline network to deliver the service everywhere.

Additionally, he said that the party will also excavate and replace damaged or broken underground pipelines with new ones to improve access to clean and safe water.

He further said that the party will construct a large water tank for Segerea people, noting that they will also expand the current tank which has a capacity of only 273 cubic meters, to reach a capacity of 845 million cubic meters.

“We will do all we can to end the longstanding challenge facing Segerea residents,” he stated.
