Singida opens doors to investors with Puma Energy leading the way

SINGIDA: The Regional Commissioner of Singida, Halima Dendego, has called on both local and foreign investors to seize investment opportunities in various sectors in the region to create jobs for youth and contribute to national revenue.

Speaking on Wednesday, Dendego said Singida Region has vast land, a strong labor force, and a friendly investment environment without strict conditions.

“Singida Region is ready for economic transformation through close collaboration between the government and the private sector. Investment in clean energy, infrastructure, industries, agriculture, trade, and services will improve the lives of citizens and boost the national economy,” she said.

In a move that demonstrates the contribution of the private sector, Puma Energy Tanzania has officially launched a new fuel station in Singida as part of its strategy to expand access to safe and reliable energy across the country.

Located in the Central Corridor, the new station will serve drivers, truck owners, and business operators with high-quality fuel, lubricants, and modern services. It will also feature a gym, restaurant, retail shop, offices, as well as vehicle repair and cleaning services.

Puma Energy Tanzania’s Head of Commercial, Benedict Ndunguru, representing the company’s Managing Director, Fatma Abdallah, said the launch of the fuel station in the region is a demonstration of their commitment to bringing safe, modern, and reliable energy solutions closer to communities.

“Beyond convenience, this investment will create jobs, support local suppliers, and directly contribute to the economic development of the region. We are here for the long term, committed to powering communities and supporting Tanzania’s energy future,” he said

On his part, Puma Energy Tanzania’s Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Emmanuel Bakilana, emphasized that safety and quality remain at the core of the company’s operations.

“Safety remains at the heart of everything we do. By combining our international operating standards with a strong focus on delivering high-quality fuels and lubricants, we ensure our customers receive reliable energy services alongside support that enables their growth and success,” he said.

The new fuel station is expected to generate employment, expand opportunities for local suppliers and service providers, and enhance Singida’s economic activities through access to reliable energy.

The launch further affirms Puma Energy’s commitment to expanding services, ensuring safety, and investing in Tanzania’s energy future.
