Kijaji launches campaign for Kondoa seat

DODOMA: CCM parliamentary candidate for Kondoa, Dr Ashatu Kijaji has officially launched her campaign in Pahi Ward, Kondoa District.

The campaign launch was attended by former CCM Secretary General and Chief Secretary, Dr Bashiru Ally, who joined Dr Kijaji in addressing party supporters and residents.

In her speech, Dr Kijaji reaffirmed her commitment to driving sustainable development in Kondoa, pledging to focus on improving social services, boosting household incomes and addressing longstanding challenges facing the community.

One of the key concerns she raised was the recurring problem of wildlife encroachment, particularly elephants from the nearby Mkungunero Game Reserve, which continue to invade local farms and residential areas, causing destruction to crops and property.

She called upon Dr Bashiru to take the matter to higher levels of party leadership to seek lasting solutions that would protect residents’ livelihoods.

Responding to the concerns, Dr Bashiru assured the people of Kondoa that CCM remains committed to uplifting rural communities. He said the party has set clear strategy to enhance development through the establishment of small-scale industries that add value to agricultural products.
