UWT rallies Nyamagana residents to back Samia

MWANZA: THE National Chairperson of CCM Women’s Wing (UWT), Ms Mary Chatanda, has called on residents of Nyamagana Constituency in Mwanza City to vote for party’s presidential candidate, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, in October General Election.
She cited Dr Samia’s strong leadership and efforts in preserving national peace as a perfect fit for her to win the country’s top post.
Speaking on Saturday during the official launch of CCM’s election campaign in Nyamagana, Ms Chatanda also introduced the party’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Mr John Nzilanyingi, along with the councillor candidates.
“One of Dr Samia’s greatest achievements has been maintaining peace and stability in the country. She even allowed political meetings that had previously been banned, showing her commitment to democratic values and unity,” said Ms Chatanda.
She added that despite ongoing criticisms from some opposition leaders, Dr Samia has chosen to remain focused on national development rather than engaging in political provocations. “I commend Dr Samia for her patience and maturity in ignoring insults.

I also applaud CCM for refusing to be distracted by baseless attacks. Our focus remains on delivering development,” she said.
Ms Chatanda urged voters to choose Dr Samia, CCM’s parliamentary candidate and the party’s councillors on October 29th this year, stressing that their leadership would bring tangible improvements to the lives of Mwanza residents.
CCM’s Nyamagana parliamentary candidate, Mr John Nzilanyingi assured residents that if elected, he would work closely with the government and the community to complete all development projects that were left unfinished in the previous term.
“Thanks to the solid foundation laid by the sixth-phase government under Dr Samia’s leadership, our work will be much easier. We will prioritise infrastructure and ensure that all roads in Nyamagana are accessible year-round,” he pledged.
CCM Mwanza Regional Chairperson Mr Michael Lusinje echoed the call to support Dr Samia, highlighting the major strategic development projects implemented in the region under her presidency.
“I also urge you to vote for our young and humble parliamentary candidate, Mr Nzilanyingi. He is the right person to lead Nyamagana forward,” he said.
Former Nyamagana MP Mr Stanslaus Mabula thanked President Samia for the development initiatives she has introduced in the constituency and urged party members to vote for the entire CCM team to ensure continued progress.
Also joining the campaign trail was former Home Affairs Minister in the fourth-phase government, Mr Lawrence Masha who reminded voters of the 2010 General Election when Nyamagana was lost to the opposition due to divisions within CCM.
“We must not repeat the mistakes of the past. Let us come out in large numbers on October 29 and vote overwhelmingly for Dr Samia, Mr Nzilanyingi and our councillors. We do not want to feel that pain again,” said Mr Masha.
A member of the CCM National Executive Council Dr Angeline Mabula said that the achievements of Dr Samia’s administration speak for themselves and are a strong reason to elect her for another five-year term. “With everything she has done for the country, there is no doubt that she deserves to continue leading us,” she said.
