Chinyele pledges water, power, roads fix in Dodoma

DODOMA: CCM parliamentary candidate for Dodoma Urban constituency, Mr Pascal Chinyele, has pledged to prioritise lasting solutions to challenges facing residents, including water shortages, unreliable electricity and poor roads in peripheral wards.
Launching his campaign in Dodoma, Mr Chinyele said if elected in the October General Election, he would ensure access to safe and clean water, particularly in areas long affected by scarcity.
He also promised to upgrade unpaved roads across the city to tarmac standard in line with Dodoma’s capital city status.
“We will make sure roads such as the Chang’ombe–Mnadani stretch are improved to ease access,” he said.
On electricity, Mr Chinyele said he would push for the extension of power supply poles to areas including Chingongwe, Mpunguzi, Mbalawala, and Nala, to ensure reliable electricity reaches more households.
He also pledged to advocate for additional health facilities in the outskirts of the city to ease the burden on residents, especially expectant mothers who currently travel long distances for maternity services.
“Although the Sixth Phase Government has built a major hospital in Dodoma, I will continue to request support from the President to ensure peripheral wards also have well-equipped health centres,” he noted.

Mr Chinyele further promised to make regular visits to all 21 wards of Dodoma Urban, pledging to visit at least three wards every month to closely follow up on challenges and seek lasting solutions.
He also vowed to address land disputes by ensuring residents receive fair compensation for farmland or homes affected by government projects and road works.
He cited the Mvumi road, saying he would prioritise its rehabilitation to ease transport challenges for residents of Ntyuka and Chinyoyo wards.
Earlier, outgoing Dodoma Urban MP Mr Anthony Mavunde, now contesting the Mtumba constituency seat, joined the launch and urged residents to vote for Mr Chinyele, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver.
For his part, CCM Dodoma Regional Chairman, Mr Adam Kimbisa, called on residents to turn out in large numbers on polling day to exercise their democratic right.
He also urged councillors to conduct door-to-door campaigns to secure a landslide victory for the ruling party.
