Yanga fans glorify Mwananchi Week with blood donation

DAR ES SALAAM: YOUNG Africans Vice President Arafat Haji has led hundreds of the club’s supporters in a blood donation exercise in Dar es Salaam today,  September 9th, 2025.

The voluntary exercise at the club’s headquarters in the city is aimed at collecting blood that will be used to support blood-needy patients in hospitals.

“I am glad to be among the blood donors today, and this is a very important exercise because there is no substitute for blood…I encourage others to come here to donate theirs,” Haji said.

It is part and parcel of their lined-up activities to be conducted ahead of the much-awaited annual Mwananchi Day set on Friday, September 12th at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Meanwhile, through their official Instagram account, Yanga have announced that VVIP and Royal Tickets, which were valued at 600,000/- and 300,000/- respectively, are sold out.

“We advise people to continue buying tickets for other categories like VIP B, VIP C, Orange, and Ordinary seats,” reads part of their information.

To climax the big day on Friday, Yanga will play a friendly match against Bandari FC of Kenya, which will help the green and yellow fans to have a glimpse of their 2025-26 squad that will be featured in both domestic and international games.
