Biteko: Evaluate candidates by their actions
GEITA: DEPUTY Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr Doto Biteko has urged Tanzanians to judge this year’s election candidates based on their actions rather than their promises.
Dr Biteko, who is the parliamentary candidate for Bukombe constituency said that CCM has set a strong example through its implementation of large-scale development projects.
Speaking to residents of Katoro, Ludete and neighbouring areas, which are considered a commercial hub of Geita Region, Dr Biteko urged voters to differentiate between candidates who discuss what has already been achieved and those who make empty promises.
“There are candidates who talk about what has already been done and others who will continue these efforts in the future. Some only speak of desires. I urge the people of Katoro and all Tanzanians to judge candidates by their actions, behaviours and their way of life,” Dr. Biteko said.
He pointed to the successes of the sixth phase government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan, noting that major development projects have already transformed the lives of citizens.

Dr Biteko also praised CCM Vice-Presidential candidate, Ambassador Emmanuel Nchimbi, calling him a wise leader, a mentor to many and someone who truly understands the challenges faced by ordinary people.
“He is a good person who knows how to bring people together and address their concerns. In his speeches, he has always focused on CCM and the important work ahead to improve the lives of the people,” Dr Biteko said.
He urged Geita residents, along with others across the country, to ensure they turn out in large numbers on October 29 to vote.
“This election is about our future. Your vote is your life. On that morning, don’t wait until late. Go early, stand in line and vote for Dr Samia, vote for your Member of Parliament and vote for your councillor,” Dr Biteko urged, as the crowd erupted in applause.
He said that Geita has become a model of unity among Tanzanians, as the region is home to various tribes, yet the people live together in harmony and love.
“This unity is a reflection of the victory we will achieve through the people’s votes, guided by the development progress brought by CCM,” Dr. Biteko concluded.DEPUTY Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr Doto Biteko has urged Tanzanians to judge this year’s election candidates based on their actions rather than their promises.
