Samia pledges to empower Iringa’s youth in agro-economy projects

IRINGA: CHAMA Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) presidential candidate, Samia Suluhu Hassan, has today pledged to empower youth engaged in the agro-economy projects in Iringa region.
Samia, who addressed a massive campaign rally at Samora Stadium in Iringa Municipality, pledged to continue advancing development projects with a special focus on agriculture and youth empowerment.

Speaking before thousands of enthusiastic supporters, Dr Samia highlighted Iringa’s strategic role in driving agricultural transformation due to its fertile land and high production of both food and cash crops. She promised improved access to farm inputs, expanded credit facilities for farmers, and the establishment of agro-processing industries to add value to local produce.
“We want to ensure that farmers in Iringa no longer sell their crops at a loss. Instead, we will make sure your produce is processed locally and sold at better value. The CCM government will remain the strongest partner of farmers,” said Samia, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

The CCM presidential candidate also assured Iringa’s youth of greater opportunities through job creation, entrepreneurship programs, and access to affordable loans. She emphasized that the youth are the backbone of the nation’s economy and must play a central role in the country’s industrial and modern agricultural growth.
“We will empower our youth with training, capital, and opportunities. Every young person in Iringa must have a place in building the future of our nation,” she added.

The rally was attended by CCM leaders from Iringa region, as well as parliamentary and council candidates, who called on residents to cast their votes for CCM to ensure continuity of development.
