Prof Mkumbo, Kairuki promise fortunes to Ubungo, Kibamba residents

DAR ES SALAAM: THE ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi(CCM today, August 28, 2025, launched a nationwide campaign for its candidates seeking parliamentary, councillorship, and presidential seats ahead of the General Elections in October this year.
In Dar es Salaam, aspirants for the Ubungo and Kibamba constituencies, Kitila Mkumbo and Angellah Kairuki, said they would conduct civilized campaigns by promoting their policies and continuing to maintain peace.
Speaking immediately after returning their forms yesterday evening at the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), they said that from today, August 28, 2025, they will begin official campaigns in their constituencies and urge citizens to participate fully in the elections.
Ubungo parliamentary candidate, Prof Kitila Mkumbo, said he will conduct a campaign to explain the work he has done in the past five years and what he will complete in the next five years, and said he believes in a big victory for all three positions, presidential, parliamentary, and councillorship seats.
“Today I have completed the process of running through my party. I thank the Central Committee, and I am ready to campaign. We will be two MPs in the Ubungo counci,l and we will have 21 of our councilors. I believe CCM will claim a landslide victory,” he stressed.

Kibamba Constituency Parliamentary Candidate, Angellah Kairuki, has expressed her sincere commitment to serving the people of Kibamba Constituency with integrity and great effort.
“I have the enthusiasm, but I can also serve the people of Kibamba. I have planned to ensure that we bring real development to every ward of our constituency,” he said.
Kairuki added that his campaigns will focus on arguments and policies, along with explaining in detail the achievements of the CCM Government through the implementation of the party’s manifesto.
“We will use these campaigns to explain to the people what we have done and what we expect to do to improve their lives. Our goal is to bring them happiness, comfort, and sustainable development.”
