Samia hailed for prioritizing socio-economic development
PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan leadership style has been hailed for prioritizing four key issues in the promotion of the socio-economic development of the country and people in general.
The key issues include reconciliation, resilience, reforms and re-building the nation.
Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology Mr Nape Nnauye highlighted the priority issues that President Samia is focusing on recently during the Samia Festival organised by Tanzanian artiste Judith Wambura commonly known as Lady Jay Dee.
With regard to reconciliation, President Samia was praised for being able to bring Tanzanians together regardless of their political differences by ensuring the rule of law, equality and non-discrimination.
“She is a strong advocate for the promotion of equal opportunities for all citizens to develop themselves personally, the community and the nation as a whole,” said Mr Nape.
He described President Samia’s administration as that which ensures every person enjoys their basic rights and performs their duties in accordance with the law without any disturbances or hindrance.
The president’s leadership is also built on resilience as her desire to see Tanzanians are united, reconciled and healed from any past problems for a better tomorrow.
As a nation, he said there is a need for a united Tanzania in dealing with any kind of development challenges for the country to thrive.
“Major economic, political and electoral reforms are crucial in ensuring respect for the law and rights are accessible, a move aimed to ensure the economy of the country grows further in the creation of more jobs for its people.
“The reforms should strengthen our efforts towards having a just society, democratic prosperity and a growing economy for the betterment of all Tanzanians,” he said.
Elaborating on the fourth priority issue, the minister noted that the president was embarking on efforts to rebuild the country by ensuring a growing economy that will generate enough jobs for the youth, as a state of prosperity in the 21st century that emphasizes on development as a basic freedom.
On her part, the veteran musician Lady Jay Dee applauded President Samia’s leadership in championing for reconciliation within the country through the promotion of national unity without taking into account their ideology, religion or gender as efforts to build a new Tanzania that cares about people’s freedom, democracy and equality as well as human rights.
“My colleague Rama D and I have prepared this song and launched the campaign “I stand with Mama Samia” in bringing solutions that will contribute to the development of Tanzanians regardless of their ideology, their beliefs and to ensure that there is true freedom and democracy in the country” said Lady Jay Dee.
The event which was attended by various leaders and people from all walks of life also witnessed the launch of an institution dealing with girls issues in advocating for their development in the country.-
