Flexible study hours drive CPA exam success

DAR ES SALAAM: AN open space library built in 2021 at National Board of Accountants and Auditors headquarters in Dar es Salaam has significantly contributed to improved performance among Certified Public Accountant (CPA) students.
NBAA Director of Professional Education and Training, Peter Lyimo said in Dar es Salaam on Thursday that the facility has enabled CPA students to have enough space which opens every day and for more than 12 hours.
The library was constructed by Unique Financial Services Limited. “Our library typically operates only during working hours, which limits access for students who come for discussions and study after hours,” Lyimo said.
He added that the open library facility which accommodates between 160 and 200 students at a time, has given people freedom to operate.
He explained that since 2021, there has been a steady improvement in the performance of students partly because of the open space library which has allowed working class students to study and discuss their issues after working hours.

“As you know that some of our students are working people which means that they come here to study and do some discussions after knocking off from work. This facility provides them with space to operate up to 11pm during peak periods prior to exams,” he revealed.
Some CPA students commended the investment, saying it has given them flexibility to plan and execute their timetables.
“It’s a nice open space well-furnished and properly taken care of such that people find it much more convenient to study and hold discussions,” said Rahma Ahmed.
Another student, Angel Kombe said: “The library is always open, therefore it is very convenient for us unlike the main library which closes down after working hours.”
