Songwe invites TCCIA to explore the area’s investment, business opportunities

DAR ES SALAAM: THE District Commissioner of Songwe, Mr. Fadhil Nkurlu, has officially invited the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (TCCIA) to visit Songwe District to explore the various investment and business opportunities available in the area.
Mr. Nkurlu extended the invitation today during his visit to the TCCIA headquarters in Dar es Salaam, where he held a meeting with the Chamber’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Oscar Kissanga.
During their discussions, the District Commissioner emphasized that Songwe District is endowed with abundant natural resources and economic opportunities that are highly suitable for investors and entrepreneurs.
“We warmly welcome TCCIA to come and witness the investment opportunities in agriculture, industry, trade, and other key economic sectors in Songwe District,” said Mr. Nkurlu.

The meeting also focused on the challenges faced by local businesses in the region and the need for collaboration between government and private sector actors to address those challenges and stimulate regional economic growth. Mr. Nkurlu encouraged Mr. Kissanga to visit Songwe and engage directly with the local business community to explore ways to capitalize on existing opportunities and find practical solutions to the challenges they face.
In response, TCCIA CEO Mr. Oscar Kissanga expressed his gratitude for the invitation and confirmed his intention to visit the district. He stated that the visit would be a significant step towards strengthening public-private cooperation, improving the business environment, and attracting more investment to Songwe.
Additionally, Mr. Kissanga thanked the District Commissioner for accepting the invitation to visit the TCCIA headquarters, noting that the gesture reflects a strong commitment to partnership between the government and the private sector in driving national economic development.
