Security, economy top agenda at JPC meeting

RWANDA: A Tanzanian delegation is in Kigali, Rwanda, to take part in the 16th Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) meeting between the two countries.

The three-day event runs from July 24 to 26, 2025.

The JPC serves as a strategic platform to enhance the longstanding cooperation between Tanzania and Rwanda.

Shortly after welcoming the delegation, Tanzania’s Ambassador to Rwanda, Dr Habib Kambanga, Reinforced that the meeting provides an important opportunity to discuss shared development goals, boost collaboration, and strengthen ties across key sectors such as social development, the economy, and security.

Dr Kambanga also encouraged delegates to use the forum to identify new areas of cooperation, craft effective implementation strategies for bilateral agreements, and ensure all discussions align with their nations’ broader interests.
