Mpanzu is here to stay – Simba

DAR ES SALAAM: BREAKING the ice on swirling transfer rumours, Simba SC have confirmed that midfielder Elie Mpanzu is not leaving the club anytime soon.

Speaking to the press, Simba’s Communication Manager, Ahmed Ally, made it clear that the Congolese-born star is staying with the team.

“There is no truth to the rumours. Mpanzu is happy, committed and very much part of our plans going forward,” stated Ahmed.

“He is a Simba player, and we have no plans to put him on the market. Mpanzu is not for sale; he will be part of the team’s plan for next season,” he added.

While Mpanzu’s stay has been confirmed, Ally mentioned that new signings are expected to be unveiled later this month, particularly highlighting players participating in the CHAN finals.

Ally noted the decision is part of the club’s effort to strengthen key areas, focusing on adding depth in attack and midfield.

He also noted that Simba have already secured a few signings, although the club is keeping the names confidential until the contracts are finalised.
